La Revista ITECKNE, adscrita a la División de Ingenierías y Arquitectura de la Universidad Santo Tomás Bucaramanga, indexada en Publindex y Latindex Categoría B, aceptada en las bases de datos de EBSCO, el Índice Actualidad Iberoamericana de Chile y DIALNET; informa a la comunidad académica y científica que se fija como fecha de corte el día 15 de agosto de 2014 para la presentación de trabajos candidatos a ser publicados en el Volumen 11. Se reciben artículos en idioma Español e Inglés en al área de Ingeniería y Ciencias Básicas, de preferencia en las áreas de Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones, Mecatrónica, Mecánica, Industrial, Civil, Ambiental, Electrónica, Sistemas y Química Ambiental. Los interesados deben enviar los artículos a través del sistema Open Journal System (OJS) de la biblioteca de la Universidad Santo Tomás, Bucaramanga en el siguiente link http://revistas.ustabuca.edu.co/ Para la postulación de un artículo, tenga en cuenta lo siguiente: La Revista ITECKNE recomienda a los autores presentar sus artículos en idioma ingles, lo cual hace posible el incremento de la visibilidad y la citación internacional de los autores y de la revista. 1. The accepted papers will be published in a supplementary issue of Materials Research Innovations following peer review and revision by the authors.

Publishing process:
1) Authors submit paper(s) via the online submission system.
2) Papers will be roughly reviewed by editors in 1-2 days. The first review includes the language and areas. Papers in poor expression and unrelated area will be rejected. Papers in well expression and related area will be submitted to Experts Team for reviewing.
3) Papers will be reviewed by Experts Team in 4-5 weeks.
4) We will announce the reviewing results in first time.Authors will be asked to revise their manuscripts and resubmit.
5) The authors whose papers accepted pay the registration fee, sign Copyright Transfer Agreement and submit the final papers.
6) The Organizing Committee submits papers to Publisher for typeset.
7) Authors check,revise and send back the proofs received from the Journal officially.
8) Papers published online.

Dear Fabio Vega Nieto, The Journal of Photonics for Energy will be publishing a Special Section on Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Solar Cells, guest edited by Ana Flavia Nogueira and Garry Rumbles.The submission deadline is 15 September 2014. This special section of JPE will center on the science and technology of hybrid organic-inorganic solar cells, including solid-state organic-inorganic solar cells based on perovskites and other materials; hybrid organic- and polymeric-inorganic photovoltaics (PVs) that contain inorganic materials or carbon Q-dots and nanotubes; or graphene in the active  light-harvesting layer(s) and/or interfaces.  This special section covers topics such as: Nature and dynamics of the photoexcited species Charge carrier mobility Control of the light-harvesting layer(s)' morphology Role(s) of the interfaces and contacts Long-term stability of the devices Chemical composition, size, shape, dispersity, and nature of the inorganic nanoparticles Surface ligands Organic/inorganic interfaces in polymeric-inorganic hybrid photovoltaics Original research work or reviews that address any of the above issues and challenges are welcome. Authors are strongly encouraged to submit an original research paper or a short (10-20 manuscript pages) review article highlighting recent advances in the last 2-3 years in any areas related to this field. See the full call for papers  Manuscripts should be submitted to SPIE according to the journal guidelines with a cover letter indicating that the submission is intended for this special section. All papers submitted for this special section, both solicited and unsolicited, will go through the standard journal review process.
